The Catholic Order of the Dominicans was founded by Saint Dominic in the early 13th century. All brothers share responsibility for the realization of the aims of the religious community. An order in the monastery traditionally consists of at least six members. Each Dominican wooden figure is carved and hand-painted in Val Gardena and carefully checked before delivery.
